Civil Engineer Project Manager

About the position

VHB’s Bedford, NH office is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer – Project Manager to join our Land Development team. Based in Bedford Farms Drive, the team works with public and private clients to deliver impactful projects that strengthen local economies, enhance quality of life, and protect vital environmental resources.

Responsibilities

• Work within an integrated team to develop site/civil engineering plans and specifications for a variety of public and private projects, focusing on sustainability and resiliency.
• Prepare design plans from schematic design through construction documents, submit permit applications, and write technical reports.
• Manage tasks and projects, monitor financial performance, and utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop and manage model-based design deliverables.
• Support stormwater management technical design, including hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, water quality treatment design, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to understand their needs and address design/permitting issues.
• Mentor junior team members and support business development activities.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required, Master's degree preferred.
• 5-8+ years of professional site/civil engineering experience, including consulting/private sector experience.
• P.E. licensure required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, HydroCAD, and StormCAD.
