About the role

We are seeking a relationship-focused, dedicated, and change-friendly Civil Engineer Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Roseville, CA. The ideal candidate will manage land development projects, serve as the primary client contact, oversee project teams, and support business development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage land development projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and quality control.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong, responsive relationships.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of engineering teams, subconsultants, and support staff; identify scope creep.
  • Lead the preparation of site development plans, reports, calculations, and permit applications.
  • Review and approve technical designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes and client requirements.
  • Support business development by identifying new opportunities and participating in proposal development.
  • Facilitate meetings with clients, public agencies, and internal teams to discuss project progress and resolve challenges.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and project team members.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project goals.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to deliver innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of local development codes, standards, and permitting processes.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry-related design software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and public agency staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, 6+ years of experience in civil engineering, Professional Engineer (PE) license in California, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months, proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams, strong knowledge of local development codes, standards, and permitting processes, proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry-related design software, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and public agency staff.

Pay

US Pay Range: $135,000 USD - $170,000 USD
