Civil Engineer - Project Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Manage site development and civil engineering projects from proposal through construction, including oversight of scope, schedule, and budget
- Lead the design and review of site layout, grading, stormwater systems, utilities, and erosion control
- Prepare and oversee technical reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications
- Perform quality assurance/quality control reviews and ensure project deliverables meet regulatory and client requirements
- Coverage and communication with clients, contractors, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies throughout all phases of the project
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff, including support for career development planning and performance reviews
- Collaborate with senior leadership on business development and strategic client growth initiatives
About the Role
Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our Civil Practice at the Greenville, SC office. The ideal candidate will lead project teams responsible for land development and site design for a wide range of commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure
- Experience managing civil or site development projects from planning through completion
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling tools; experience with HydroCAD or HEC-RAS preferred
- Experience developing project scopes, preparing proposals, and managing projects profitably
- Familiarity with local and state permitting processes and coordination with regulatory agencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across teams and with external stakeholders
- Experience mentoring junior staff and providing leadership within project teams
Qualifications
- Active participation in professional or client-related organizations
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary civil engineering projects
- Advanced experience with complex site development and infrastructure design projects

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time position with flexible scheduling to accommodate project needs.
