Civil Engineer Ports and Harbors
About the role
AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer (Hybrid) to be based in Orange, CA.
Responsibilities
- Undertaking design activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal defense and development schemes.
- Civil design for terminals across the United States.
- Independently prepare engineering related calculations and develop civil technical specifications, plans, and details.
- Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
- Independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License
- Valid Driver’s license required.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
- 6+ years of Civil design experience preferred
- Proficient in CAD and design software preferred
- Proficient in C3D/OpenRoads preferred
- Experience with Civil Engineering Plans, Specifications and Estimate development preferred
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams preferred
- Experience in the design of marine terminals preferred
Benefits
The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $95,000 to $135,000 per year.
