Civil Engineer (P.E.)

About the role

Kleinfelder’s Design team is seeking a Civil Engineer (P.E.) to work on various development projects in the Mid-Atlantic region, including land development and power grid resiliency projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the current staff on the development of designs and plans related to: Site layout & grading.
• Erosion and sediment control design.
• Post construction stormwater management in multiple state jurisdictions (PA, WV, OH, MD).
• Prepare NPDES permit applications.
• Land development applications in accordance with federal, state, and local ordinances.
• Zoning compliances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in erosion and sediment control design, and post construction stormwater design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, and HydroCAD.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Engineer in Training Certificate.
• Professional Engineering License.
• Understanding of Land Development Processes.
• Understanding of Zoning Ordinance Review & Compliance.
