  • We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Civil Engineer with a focus on Land Development & Design in the Construction industry.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of infrastructure such as roads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, and more.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of the principles of civil engineering, coupled with a creative mind and a passion for innovation.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PE, Stormwater, and Drainage.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and supervise construction projects, ensuring they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop detailed designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, including site investigations, complex analysis of collected data, and preparation of reports.
  • Manage and direct staff members and the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site.
  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel.
  • Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
  • Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact.
  • Design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, specifically within the Construction industry.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with stormwater and drainage systems.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to supervise a project from conception to completion.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Knowledge of construction, design, and cost estimation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop).
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they escalate.
