Civil Engineer in Training
About the role
Wilson & Company is seeking a Civil Engineer in Training to join our design team in our Salina office. This position will perform roadway design and modeling utilizing Microstation OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D. They will work in conjunction with the Project Managers, Peer Engineers, and CADD Team Members to coordinate the roadway design with other project disciplines to meet project deadlines for various projects throughout Missouri and other regions as needed.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the development of roadway design plans and contract documents.
- Work independently while interacting well with other team members within the Wilson & Company team.
- Gain experience in business development / marketing, including attendance at local industry conferences and seminars.
- Show high interpersonal and communication skills.
- Show proven teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Manage and develop business client relationships.
- Show an excellent work ethic and a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles.
Requirements

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited school.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain.
- 0-3 years’ experience in the design of streets and highways.
- Experience with federal, state, and local regulations that pertain to the design of street and/or highway projects.
- Experience with Microstation Roadway Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
