Position Duties
- Hydraulic and hydrologic modeling designs for drainage basins, water quality improvement, and stormwater collection systems.
- Assistance designing drainage systems, and local roadways.
- Performing analyses using Geographic Information System (GIS) tools.
- Assistance preparing stormwater master planning reports.
- Review and planning of stormwater, roadway, infrastructure improvements, and implementation of sustainable design elements as they relate to water quality and Sea Level Rise resiliency.
- Aid with construction engineering services for municipal, county and state clients.
- Aid other project engineers and managers as needed during project delivery.
Education/Certification Requirements
- 4-year B.S. degree in Civil or related Engineering, with emphasis in water resources engineering preferred.
- Must-haves:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- E.I.T (Engineer in Training) certification required. (Applicants without a Professional Engineer license will be expected to sit for the P.E. exam once the required years of experience for the exam is met).
- Previous project management experience preferred but not required.
- Candidates with little to no project management experience will have the opportunity to learn and gain valuable project management experience.
- Knowledge of basic principles of infrastructure design and plan preparation.
- Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, preferably using ICPR4/Stormwise.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman service area (own transportation).
Pay Range
The pay range for this role is $83,000-100,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
