CIVIL ENGINEER I W/O P.E.

Requirements

The Civil Engineer I (without PE) requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D is desired.

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include sitting and standing for extended periods, walking over rough or uneven surfaces, seeing, hearing, and speaking to exchange information, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds.

Skills

Knowledge of principles and practices of civil and environmental engineering, principles and practices of project management and contract administration, interpretation, application, and explanation of local, state, and federal codes, ordinances, specifications, policies, procedures, and standards. Oral and written communication skills to include correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary. Ability to communicate scientific and technical matters to non-technical individuals, including policymakers. Report writing and plan interpretation techniques. Record-keeping techniques.
