Civil Engineer I

Job Duties

• Research project history and collect information regarding the project.
• Create computer‑aided draft drawings for construction plans, standard details, concept layouts, project maps, and other records.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties to promote project development.
• Assist with cost estimating and scheduling for project managers.
• Perform field walks and investigate existing project conditions during scoping and design.
• Inspect construction projects under supervision of experienced field staff.
• Produce prints, roll plots, plans, and other presentation materials.
• Assist with public engagement, customer service, and meeting materials for project managers.
• Obtain training and certifications for design and construction of street projects.

Minimum Education Required

A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. No substitution for education.

Compensation

$34.52 – $49.49 per hour
