About the role

Green International Affiliates, Inc., a Lochner Company, is seeking a Civil Engineer.

Job Description

  • Aid in roadway and site design tasks, including layout, utilities, grading, and construction details.
  • Prepare design drawings for water, stormwater, and sanitary sewer systems under supervision.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations using engineering software.
  • Conduct field observations for utility work and assist with reviewing contractor shop drawings.
  • Support SWPPP inspections under the guidance of certified staff.
  • Assist with utility coordination, including collecting and organizing record information and preparing existing conditions drawings.
  • Prepare basic engineering quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Support field survey activities, including GPS equipment and total station use, and assist with manhole inspections and reporting.
  • Travel to various unanticipated locations throughout the Northeast Region of the U.S. for long- and short-term assignments at client sites.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or related engineering role.

Physical Requirements

Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stoop, crawl, and lifting. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 20 pounds. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.

Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, and internal equity.
