Responsibilities

  • Cover detailed on-site reviews to assess construction progress
  • Evaluate contractor adherence to project specifications
  • Identify potential challenges and perform specialized tests on construction materials
  • Verify quality standards are consistently met through precise test results
  • Analyze data and project information to make informed recommendations
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing complex field observations and analysis
  • Mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Solve complex construction challenges using problem-solving skills

Requirements

  • Competency using computer operating systems and MS Office Suite programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Aptitude for identifying and resolving complex technical problems
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively, walk on uneven ground, carry equipment, and work in various weather conditions
  • Basic construction competencies including determining location from surface features and landmarks, understanding construction stakes, and handling physical demands
  • Adaptability to change and responsiveness to frequent interruptions and changing conditions
  • Confidentiality and adherence to safety and security protocols

Qualifications

  • Basic construction competencies including ability to determine location from surface features and landmarks by interpretation from surveys, road maps, aerial photos, topographic maps, and geologic maps; understanding construction stakes set by others, and color markings of utility companies.
  • Has a general aptitude for identifying and resolving complex technical problems in the field, utilizing critical thinking and logical reasoning.
  • Demonstrates ethical conduct, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring safety and security in all aspects of work.

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position with flexible scheduling to accommodate project needs.
