Responsibilities
- Cover detailed on-site reviews to assess construction progress
- Evaluate contractor adherence to project specifications
- Identify potential challenges and perform specialized tests on construction materials
- Verify quality standards are consistently met through precise test results
- Analyze data and project information to make informed recommendations
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing complex field observations and analysis
- Mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative work environment
- Solve complex construction challenges using problem-solving skills
Requirements
- Competency using computer operating systems and MS Office Suite programs
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Aptitude for identifying and resolving complex technical problems
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively, walk on uneven ground, carry equipment, and work in various weather conditions
- Basic construction competencies including determining location from surface features and landmarks, understanding construction stakes, and handling physical demands
- Adaptability to change and responsiveness to frequent interruptions and changing conditions
- Confidentiality and adherence to safety and security protocols
Qualifications
- Basic construction competencies including ability to determine location from surface features and landmarks by interpretation from surveys, road maps, aerial photos, topographic maps, and geologic maps; understanding construction stakes set by others, and color markings of utility companies.
- Has a general aptitude for identifying and resolving complex technical problems in the field, utilizing critical thinking and logical reasoning.
- Demonstrates ethical conduct, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring safety and security in all aspects of work.

Pay
Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually
