Civil Engineer (Field Position)

Responsibilities

• Cover detailed on-site reviews to assess construction progress
• Evaluate contractor adherence to project specifications
• Identify potential challenges and perform specialized tests on construction materials
• Verify quality standards are consistently met through precise test results
• Analyze data and project information to make informed recommendations
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing complex field observations and analysis
• Mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative work environment
• Solve complex construction challenges using problem-solving skills

Requirements

• Competency using computer operating systems and MS Office Suite programs
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Aptitude for identifying and resolving complex technical problems
• Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, walking on uneven ground, and carrying equipment
• Basic construction competencies including determining location from maps and interpreting survey data
• Adaptability to change and responsiveness to frequent interruptions
