About the role
This position is full-time in person. No prior work experience required.
Responsibilities
- Tasks in other practice areas within the company and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
- Show strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members
- Contribute to water resources engineering and stormwater management design
- Analyse site layout and regulatory aspects such as zoning and ordinance review
- Design grading, earthwork analysis, and construction administration
- Perform site visits and construction observations
- Implement sustainable design practices and low impact development (LID) strategies
- Write technical documents including reports, letters, and permit applications
- Design utility and infrastructure systems such as water, sanitary, and storm systems
- Utilize Civil 3D for design, grading, and plan production
- Maintain valid driver's license and be willing to travel to project sites
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Engineer-In-Training license or willingness to obtain one
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and grow within the company
Skills
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn tasks in other practice areas within the company
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Technical writing skills
- Proficiency in Civil 3D software
