Civil Engineer

About the role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Civil Engineer to join their team in Hanover, MA. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, maintaining, and overseeing various site and civil projects for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee construction projects, including sitework, buildings, and other structures
• Conduct site investigations and analyze data to determine the feasibility of proposed projects
• Prepare cost estimates and project timelines
• Create detailed designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Coordinate with other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met
• Monitor construction progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure construction meets industry standards and regulations
• Prepare and submit reports and documentation to clients and regulatory agencies
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology and construction methods
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technicians

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Proficient in CAD software and other engineering design tools
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
