About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to serve as Package Project Manager for key civil and architectural scope on a large-scale capital expansion project in the pharmaceutical industry. This is an owner's representative role focused on oversight, coordination, and accountability—not day-to-day field engineering.
Responsibilities
- Act as Project Manager for assigned civil/architectural packages, serving as primary point of contact and accountability.
- Manage scope across areas including fireproofing, exterior cladding and building envelope, glazing systems, roofing, firestopping, and cleanrooms.
- Keep scope definition, design completeness, and constructability readiness on track.
- Review and validate change orders—checking scope accuracy, flagging gaps, and assessing intent vs. execution.
- Coordinate across EPCM partners, design engineering firms, and construction contractors to keep everyone aligned.
- Drive issues to closure through progress meetings and coordination sessions.
- Ensure alignment with cost, schedule, scope, and quality targets.
- Support turnover of completed scope to CQV teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of construction management/project engineering experience, with pharmaceutical industry experience required.
- Hands-on experience building cleanrooms.
- Specific experience with CSA (Civil/Structural/Architectural) scope.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar packages (typically $10-15M+).
- Proven track record working with EPCM organizations, design engineering firms, and multi-discipline construction teams.
- Strong understanding of scope definition, change control, and package-level delivery.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
