Civil Engineer

About the role

Supporting members of our Civil Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Use of AutoCAD Civil 3D for analysis and design of roadways, trails, sidewalks, water main, sanitary and storm sewer systems and site improvements.
• Use of Microsoft Excel for development of project bid item tables, quantities and cost opinions.
• Prepare construction plans and specifications, site plans, grading and drainage plans, studies and reports for a wide range of public and private infrastructure systems.
• Manage work activities and team responsibilities and report to supervisor and team members on status of project tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Ability to collaborate in-office a minimum of three (3) days per week.
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Zero (0) to Two (2) years of experience in the Civil Engineering field.
• Previous experience or training with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Previous experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).
• Previous Civil Engineering or construction experience including internships.
• Ability to read, comprehend and interpret engineering plans and topographic maps.

Qualifications

Benefits

This opportunity offers a base compensation in the range of $60,000 and $80,000 per year based on skill set and experience. Details on full benefits package available at SEH Hiring Journey.
