Civil Engineer

About the role

Responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing construction projects that meet environmental, safety, and regulatory standards. Works closely with clients to understand project requirements and provides technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements civil engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Collaborates with clients to define project scope, objectives, and constraints.
• Conducts site surveys, prepares detailed design plans, and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manages project budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Supervises construction activities and oversees quality control measures.
• Communicates effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, including structural, hydraulic, and geotechnical engineering.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar tools.
• Experience with project management software like Microsoft Project or Primavera.
• Knowledge of construction materials and techniques.
• Understanding of environmental impact assessment and mitigation strategies.
