What type of knowledge do I need to succeed in this role?

• A BS in Civil Engineering
• A PE license
• At least 8 years' experience in site design, grading, utility design, and development of construction plans
• Proven motivation and self-starting capability
• Ability to manage projects, present engineering concepts to clients, agencies, and teams, and execute a project successfully
• Experience in CAD and proficiency in Civil 3D
• Comfort using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel

What might set you apart from other candidates?

• Knowledge of Hydrologic & Hydraulic Modeling Software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Civil 3D SSA, or HydroCAD
• Proficiency in field inspections, client management, project management, and technical writing (specs)
• Experience with sustainable design, high performance design, and/or USGBC LEED rating
• Experience in obtaining necessary site permits in the Metro Detroit area
