About the Role
We are seeking a highly-motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in the Dallas market. This opportunity will play a key role in our design/build process by performing site due diligence, designing and drafting land development concept plans, and guiding our clients through the first steps toward bringing their building to life. You will solve the big picture and leave the details to others.
Responsibilities
- Research and collect site-specific information to initiate the land development process and perform site investigative due diligence.
- Design and draft multi-building land development concept plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D for commercial and industrial uses.
- Prepare schematic site plan, grading, and utility plans to illustrate site developability based on learned constraints.
- Perform stormwater detention analysis, site utility design, and earthwork analysis to best inform site planning effort for cost and constructability.
- Meet with internal and external customers to review concept plans, discuss advantages to multiple approaches, and work to define direction of project with Design/Build contracting team.
Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering or other Engineering or Design discipline.
- 2-8 years of land planning experience in Dallas.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience; creating AutoCAD Civil 3D templates and styles is a plus.
- Ability to perform stormwater detention analysis and site utility design calculations independently.
- Ability to read and understand local zoning codes, stormwater management codes, FEMA floodmaps, FWS wetland maps, and record civil and survey drawings.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required. ARCO/Murray will support the pursuit of licensure for EIT and offer a $5,000 bonus for successful completion of PE license.
