Responsibilities
- Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards
- Develop technical drawings and plans
- Makes and quality checks drawings and plans of substantial complexity
- Performs some multifaceted calculations
- Minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks
- Knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes
- Maintains drawing database
- Supervises and trains CAD staff
- Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control
- Develops familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards
Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products
- Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Willingness to mentor and teach others
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
