Civil Design Technician

About the Role

Kimley-Horn is looking for a CAD Operator to join our Development Services team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FL). This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Use basic computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for Kimley-Horn projects.
• Design and produce sets of plans; implement and manage AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards.
• Assist in maintaining the drawing database.
• Perform routine analysis to check accuracy of data.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred).
• 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products preferred.
• Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication, and team player.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and interpersonal communication/writing skills.
• Desire to learn and ability to work independently and with a team.
