Civil Design Engineer

About the role

TTL, a steadily growing engineering design firm with over 500 employees, is seeking an experienced civil engineering project manager to join our Daphne office. In this critical role, you’ll help spur growth by developing and maintaining relationships with clients throughout Alabama and the Florida panhandle. You’ll handle business development, project scoping, analyzing alternative solutions, leading multi-discipline design projects, and mentoring younger professionals. The ideal candidate will easily understand state and local design criteria and seamlessly coordinate with clients, consultants, government agencies, and TTL project staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships in Alabama and the Florida panhandle
• Lead business development and project scoping
• Analyze alternative solutions for engineering projects
• Manage multi-discipline design projects
• Mentor younger professionals
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, government agencies, and project staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Four to eight years or more of engineering design and construction administration experience in municipal, commercial, industrial, energy, residential, and general land development projects
• Alabama PE license, or the ability to obtain one within three months

Qualifications

• Strong technical, proposal writing, communication, and public presentation skills
• Ability to articulate ideas and concepts
• Engaged in the professional engineering community
• Able to work in a collaborative work environment
