Civil Design Engineer

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 (based on experience)

About the Role

This is a municipal civil engineering position for candidates with at least three years of professional experience. The role involves applying basic engineering principles, standards, and methods to support the design of City of Ann Arbor capital improvement projects, including watermains, sanitary sewers, storm systems, and roads.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering plans, contract specifications, and related documents for capital improvement projects in both preliminary and final design phases
• Work under the direction of a supervisor on assigned projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
• Minimum of three years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification
• Valid driver’s license
