What You Will Be Doing

• Observe construction on a variety of Transportation, Civil and/or Municipal infrastructure projects to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications
• Document the day-to-day field and inspection activities, and measure of quantities
• Prepare for and assist with preconstruction meetings, progress, and conflict resolution meetings
• Interact and communicate with clients, contractors, and other SEH personnel
• Candidates with skills in AutoCAD or Microstation may participate in CAD production activities while in the office
• Auxiliary in the development of proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules, and completing constructability reviews

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Four (4) or more years of experience in the construction field serving as a Construction Project Representative or related role
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently
• Able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to walk and climb over rough terrain associated with construction sites
• MVR records check verifying a valid driver’s license and a driving record meeting SEH’s Driving Program requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Six (6) or more years of experience as a Construction Project Representative on DOT, County and/or Municipal construction projects involving earthwork, concrete and bituminous paving, site improvements, and street/utility construction
• Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or related field
• Possession of applicable DOT Technical Certifications or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment
• Previous experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation

Benefits
