Civil Commercial Truck Driver

Essential Functions

• Operate a dump truck to transport equipment and materials to job sites.
• Operate truck to efficiently maintain production goals.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintenance checks of truck including reporting usage/utilization hours daily or as directed by supervisor.
• Work in Alabama.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Perform any other general duties as directed.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a valid CDL and driver’s license.
• Maintain and meet all required DOT regulations and Class A license requirements.
• Capable of working with minimal oversight by willing to follow directions closely.
• Able to work in extreme weather fluctuations.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have a great work ethic.
• Construction experience a plus.
• Must be reliable and have a flexible work schedule.

Working Conditions

• Normal on-site construction field work.
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibrations.
• Occasional exposure to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites.
• Typical physical needs include using hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to stand, talk and hear.
• Occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste and smell.
• Requires frequent lifting of 30 pounds and occasional lifting or moving up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
