Civil Autocad Structural draftsman / RCC Detailer

About the role

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members throughout the design and documentation phases of reinforced-concrete (RCC) building projects in Bangladesh.

Responsibilities

• Attend design discussions with engineers, architects, and other team members.
• Gather structural and material requirements.
• Prepare structural working drawings for RCC structures, ensuring compatibility with detailed architectural drawings.
• Read ETABS output and generate drawings from the output model.
• Create shop drawings for RCC buildings and bar-bending schedules (BBS).
• Perform calculations for estimated structural dimensions.
• Present designs to the team and incorporate feedback.
• Develop user manuals and update project documentation on schedule.
• Finalize the AutoCAD model for production use.
• Adhere to environmental and safety protocols.
• Store and file completed projects for future reference.
• Stay updated with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Architecture, Mechanical, Civil 3D), CAD software, and structural engineering tools.
• Strong technical drawing skills and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with design software such as ETABS, MATLAB, or Python is advantageous.
• Good communication skills.

Education: Degree or certification in a relevant engineering or technical discipline.
