About the role

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Civil Analyst - Development Services to join our Pearland, Texas (TX) office in 2026. This is not a remote position, though remote work from home is acceptable as projects permit within reasonable commuting distance of the Pearland, TX office. The position requires 10% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform site development engineering and project management tasks across a variety of projects
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
  • Work on a variety of land development site designs
  • Support research, coordination, project management, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance, and preparation of bid packages as well as technical specifications
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
  • Support plan production, project financials, and client interactions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
  • “Engineer-In-Training” or “Engineering Intern” certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • Experience working under a licensed professional engineer to assist in private development, public improvements, and structural design projects
  • Experience preparing construction drawings and documents in CAD software including AutoCAD and MicroStation
  • Experience using StormCAD, Hydroflow, ICPR, and other industry-accepted software for hydrology studies
  • Experience preparing paperwork and deliverables for client submittals
