City Seasonal Aide/Security Guard
About the role
Join the Parks Security Service! NYC Parks is the steward of over 30,000 acres of green open spaces in New York City including parks, playgrounds, beaches, tennis courts, golf courses and recreation centers. Members of the Parks Security Service are City Seasonal Aides/Security Guards and perform routine patrols of parks, beaches, pools and related facilities to promote proper use and enjoyment of parks.
Responsibilities
- Advising patrons of park rules and regulations
- Greeting patrons and helping whenever possible
- Taking the 8- and 16-hour Security Certificate course to potentially obtain a Security Guard License
Job Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Pass a background check
- Able to work holidays, weekends and flexible shifts
