About the role
The City of Brookhaven Police Department is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Police Officer.
Responsibilities
- Enforce laws and ordinances
- Investigate crimes and accidents
- Provide emergency medical assistance
- Interact with the public in a professional manner
- Participate in community policing initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Pass a background check
- Pass a physical fitness test
- Pass a psychological evaluation
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of full-time law enforcement experience
- Completion of a police academy program
- Knowledge of traffic control signals and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
