City Delivery Dispatcher
Essential Job Functions
- Serve as contact person for city delivery service.
- Receive orders from stores via phone or invoice, ensure parts are pulled and ready for delivery by scheduled time.
- Avoid errors in pulling orders for city delivery specialists to pick up.
- Maintain an organized, clean city delivery area with bins for each spoke store.
- Ensure hub delivery specialists are running on schedule and communicate any delays to stores.
- Identify ways to improve efficiency, productivity, and reduce expenses, and present recommendations to store manager.
- Monitor hub system and routes for improvements.
- Ensure team members are clocking in and out correctly.
- Research and address parts not delivered as scheduled, making necessary billing adjustments.
- Work with store manager to cover routes in the absence of regular city delivery specialists.
- Ensure vehicles are well-maintained and inspections are thorough and accurate.
- Log daily mileage for all vehicles into asset management.
- Provide feedback to store manager regarding delivery specialists' performance for evaluations.
Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with automotive parts.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
