About the role
Citizens Bankers are the face of the branch. They devote their time getting to know their customers and building lasting relationships by providing trusted advice.
If you’re a “people person” who enjoys building positive relationships with customers, this role involves using your strong communication and problem-solving skills — along with your broad range of financial knowledge — to provide recommendations and assist customers with financial solutions, supporting spending, saving, borrowing and investing needs.
Responsibilities
- Get to know customers’ personal financial goals and recommend tailored solutions to help achieve them — like planning for the future, buying a home or opening a new credit card.
- Introduce customers to digital and mobile-first ways to handle banking transactions, like on our app or through our ATMs.
- Collaborate with partners in Wealth Management, Mortgage and Business Banking to help customers with more complex financial needs.
- Make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkup appointments.
- Follow all financial policies and procedures, including proper cash handling, state and local laws and regulations.
Requirements
- High School degree or GED required.
- 2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals.
- Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship.
- Proven success with building relationships, and recommending and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions.
- Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals.
- Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issues.
- Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration.
- Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
- Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including successful completion of pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $25.48 - $31.25 per hour, plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings. Actual pay is based on various factors including budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.

- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: Varies with branch needs and may include weekends and evenings.
