Citi Wealth Portfolio Consultant - Senior Vice President
Portfolio Consultants (PCs) provide asset allocation and macroeconomic strategy and analysis for their target markets. PCs identify, conceptualize, and implement new investment products for highly specialized market segments and drive sales during new product launches. A PC will also work closely with their assigned Financial Advisors to conceptualize, propose, and review tailored investment portfolios for Citi Global Wealth's high net worth clients.
Responsibilities
- Identify short- and long-term investment opportunities for Citi Global Wealth advisors in the region, and present, comment, and write about such opportunities in diverse forums.
- Provide surveillance of emerging macroeconomic and political developments across the region.
- Work with advisors and product specialists to help identify individual investment opportunities across fixed income, equities, and currency markets.
- Represent the team's global macroeconomic views in client meetings throughout the region and express these views clearly and concisely.
- Define and present to the sales force Citi Global Wealth's regional views in consultation with Citi Research regional analysts and local markets units.
- Provide regional input to the Global Investment Committee.
- Write periodical Regional View papers.
- Coordinate successful delivery of the Global Investment Committee's (GIC) message in the Consumer business.
- Transmit GIC views to the field and to Citi Global Wealth clients.
- Work with advisors to identify asset allocation gaps and with product specialists to define strategies to close such gaps.
- Lead the regional discussion of implementation strategies and action plans for Citi Global Wealth themes.
- Participate actively in the region's Sales and Research Calls.
- Coordinate successful rollout of Citi Global Wealth Outlook.
- Work closely with sales management, PC Team Leaders, and Product Heads to help them understand and implement the firm's market views.
- Participate in sales calls with clients and prospects.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Manage the implementation of Citi Global Wealth investment products to identify unusual concentrations of individual products or sectors that deviate from Citi’s recommended Asset Allocation and facilitate rebalancing of accounts and discovery of new revenue opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to expand and improve Citi’s existing product platform to determine changes in sales, investment, and portfolio construction strategies that isolate and capitalize on revenue-generating opportunities resulting from market movements.
- Conduct product benchmarking assessments for financial instruments in the Citi Global Wealth platform to determine performance levels.
- Periodically review and update product parameters and policies to ensure profitability and compliance with evolving internal policies and external legal and regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience
- Strong quantitative skills, written and presentation skills
- Ability to work in both a team and individual creative setting
- US Only: Securities Industry Exam, S7 & S66 (Securities Industry Exam (SIE) is a prerequisite to the S7)
- CFA / CAIA / CIMA preferred
Qualifications
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
Pay
Full-time salary range: $211,280.00 - $316,920.00. In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
