Lending is a key offering within Citi Wealth, providing competitive borrowing solutions integrated into clients’ broader Wealth Management goals. Our Lending Advisors partner with Citi Private Bankers to advise clients on new loan and refinancing opportunities, as well as restructuring existing loans as part of their overall capital management. We have Lending representation across 8 countries to provide seamless coverage to our global clients. Advisors work with a variety of asset classes, including less liquid financial assets (e.g., Private Equity, Hedge Funds), Commercial Real Estate, Private Share Lending, and bespoke personal assets such as Aviation, Fine Art, and Collectibles.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with Citi Private Bank (“CPB”) Banker teams to proactively identify lending opportunities through account planning.
• Join client and prospect meetings with Bankers to raise awareness of available lending solutions.
• Advise clients and Bankers on appropriate bespoke lending solutions and drive a culture of excellence in execution.
• Serve as the subject matter expert and first line of control for lending opportunities, partnering with in-business Underwriting and second-line risk teams to pre-screen requests and structure bespoke loan proposals that meet client needs while managing firm targets.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of lending opportunities as part of Citi Wealth’s growth aspirations.
• Ensure effective and consistent compliance with control standards.
• Manage client and Banker expectations through strong communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in UHNW lending origination and credit analysis in a private bank.
• Ability to advise clients and creatively structure sophisticated solutions to meet their objectives.
• Well-developed balance of driving growth through a thoughtful, risk-based approach.
• Experience assessing and structuring loans secured by a variety of asset classes, including less liquid financial assets, commercial real estate, aviation, fine art, and collectibles.
• Ability to advise on optimal loan structures and deliver market-leading solutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Desire to drive growth in a dynamic business environment.
• Completion of a formal credit training program preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree required (or equivalent experience).
• Licenses: Series 7, 66 (or 63/65) preferred.

Pay

Full-time salary range: $170,000.00 - $300,000.00. In addition to salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
