About the role
Citi is looking for a Senior Relationship Associate to play a central role in managing and deepening client relationships across a global banking network. In this position, you will work closely with Relationship Managers and product partners to deliver seamless client service, coordinate credit processes, and ensure regulatory requirements are met — directly shaping the experience clients have with Citi. This is a high-impact role where your ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder situations translates into measurable outcomes for clients and the business.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client networks and internal operational teams, managing escalations and resolving issues efficiently to maintain service continuity.
- Lead the timely completion of Know Your Client (KYC) and other regulatory requirements, collaborating with Relationship Managers and product partners to meet compliance deadlines.
- Support client onboarding for new relationships and subsidiaries, coordinating credit set-ups and ensuring all initial documentation is completed accurately.
- Coordinate credit requests and approvals across Citi's global network, partnering with credit administration to keep all credit documentation — including FX, derivatives, loans, and letters of credit — current and accurate.
- Engage with product partners and global coverage teams to identify revenue opportunities and match relevant products to client needs.
- Monitor credit line usage and participate in annual client reviews alongside Independent Risk teams to maintain a clear and up-to-date view of client risk exposure.
- Maintain accurate client legal and marketing hierarchies, and ensure periodic client support discussions are documented to the required standard.
- Apply sound judgement when assessing business decisions, upholding regulatory compliance, ethical standards, and transparent reporting of any control issues.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in client relationship management, banking, or a related financial services function.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex, time-sensitive priorities across cross-functional and global teams.
- Working knowledge of KYC, credit documentation, and regulatory compliance processes within a banking environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and act on dynamic information from multiple sources to support sound business decisions.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, senior stakeholders, and internal partners.
- Bachelor's degree or university-level qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
Benefits
- Exposure to Citi's global client network and the opportunity to build expertise across multiple products and markets.
- Structured learning and development opportunities to support continued professional growth in financial services.
- Wellbeing support and resources designed to help you perform at your best inside and outside of work.
- A competitive compensation and benefits package that recognises the impact you bring to the team and your clients.
- A collaborative, high-performing team environment where your judgement, initiative, and client focus are genuinely valued.
- Medical, dental & vision coverage; 401(k); life, accident, and disability insurance; and wellness programs.
- Paid time off packages, including planned time off (vacation), unplanned time off (sick leave), and paid holidays.
