About the role
The CITATION XL (CE-560XL) CAPTAIN - TYPED AND CURRENT position at Jet Access is located in Indianapolis, IN. The role requires living within a 90-minute callout of the airport. This position reports directly to the Chief Pilot.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior crewmember on each assignment, exercising operational control and leading the flight crew.
- Represent the Jet Access brand at the highest level of professionalism.
- Mentor and guide assigned First Officers, providing in-flight guidance and delivering honest, constructive feedback.
- Ensure strict compliance with flight and duty-time limitations, rest period requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage client requests for itinerary changes and special requirements in real time.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel for the timely accomplishment of required maintenance tasks.
- Complete special projects and initiatives as needed to contribute to Jet Access's continued growth and success.
Requirements
- ATP Certificate required; current First Class Medical Certificate required.
- 3,000 hours total flying time; 1,500 hours total Pilot-in-Command time; 500 hours Multi-Engine PIC time.
- 250 hours PIC time in type and 250 hours Turbine PIC time on assigned aircraft.
- Current in type, training within the last 12 months.
- Completed initial or recurrent training on the required aircraft type within the preceding 12 months.
- Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91 operations.
- Valid state driver’s license and passport required.
- Proficiency with digital flight planning tools, avionics systems, and web-based or mobile flight applications.
- Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Qualifications

Skills
- Proficiency with Avianis, ForeFlight Dispatch, or similar scheduling and dispatch platforms used in charter operations.
- Extensive international flight operations experience including ICAO airspace, overwater procedures, and customs coordination.
- History of participation in safety management system programs, audit preparation, or fleet standardization initiatives.

Pay
$150,000 per year, plus generous per flight hour and performance incentives.
Schedule
10 day on / 5 day off schedule rotation; flexibility is essential and expected. Domestic and international trip sequences may require early departures, late arrivals, and multi-day operations away from base. Evening and weekend availability is required and routine; on-call periods are a standard part of the role.
