Cisco Network Engineer with SD-WAN and Meraki(Onsite)
Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to provide onsite network operations and support for a customer environment. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure ensuring high availability, security, and performance across LAN, WAN, WiFi, and SDWAN environments. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, incident resolution, stakeholder communication, and coordination with remote engineering teams and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support for enterprise network infrastructure.
- Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SDWAN environments.
- Maintain network performance and proactively address issues.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network incidents and outages.
- Support firewall administration and network security controls.
- Perform network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
- Maintain network diagrams, documentation, and knowledge articles.
- Coordinate with offshore support teams to ensure seamless 24x7 operations.
- Provide regular status updates to customer stakeholders.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Routing and Switching.
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
- Knowledge of VLANs, STP, HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
- Experience with Cisco Wireless LAN solutions and Access Points.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki environments.
- Understanding of SDWAN technologies.
- Experience with MPLS VPN and IPsec connectivity.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience working with firewall technologies such as Cisco Fortinet or Check Point.
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and network authentication technologies.
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in enterprise network administration and support.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in an onsite customer environment.
- Experience supporting critical business operations and handling escalations.
Preferred Certifications
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist
- ITIL Foundation
