Cisco Network Engineer

Job Description Roles and ResponsibilitiesConfigure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network equipment.Perform Cisco switch deployment, configuration, rack-and-stack, and decommissioning activities.Support campus network infrastructure across facility, telecom, and lab environments.Troubleshoot Layer 2 networking issues and operational network problems.Coordinate with vendors for network equipment installation and support.Support network implementation projects and day-to-day operational activities.Assist with network monitoring and troubleshooting using enterprise monitoring tools.Maintain accurate network and deployment documentation.Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to support project delivery. Required Skills & ExperienceCCNA certification required.5+ years of experience supporting campus network environments.Strong hands-on experience configuring and deploying Cisco switches.Strong understanding of Layer 2 networking concepts.Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, particularly the 9300 series.Experience with switch deployment, configuration, rack-and-stack, troubleshooting, and decommissioning.Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Preferred SkillsExperience with Arista switches, particularly the 7050 series.Experience working in large enterprise network environments.Familiarity with Cacti and SolarWinds Orion.Experience supporting production/operational network environments in addition to project implementations.CCNP or CCIE certification is a plus.
