Cisco Investments & Corporate Development Associate
About the role
Cisco Corporate Development Associates drive a variety of market and transaction-related analyses, working with managers and directors to build financial models, develop acquisition opportunities, source venture capital investments, and participate in corporate strategy. Associates have exposure to several technologies within a team and have the opportunity to work on a range of projects.
Responsibilities
- Sources, screens, and proposes investment, partnership, and M&A opportunities.
- Works closely with Cisco Business Units to align strategy with partners and other key constituents.
- Drives detailed technology and market analyses of key sectors.
- Develops detailed financial models including projections, valuations, and investment return analyses.
- Designs presentations for senior management related to acquisitions and investments.
- Performs business, financial, accounting, and customer due diligence.
Requirements
- 2+ years post-undergraduate work as an analyst at a top-tier investment bank, Private Equity/Venture Capital (PE/VC) firm with deal experience, consulting or financial services firm.
- 2+ years mergers and acquisitions experience.
- 2+ years' experience with quantitative analysis including financial models.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred.
- Demonstrated personal initiative and excellent judgment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to operate successfully in an unstructured, collaborative environment.
- Natural curiosity to learn technologies, business models, and industry trends.
- Ambitious and able to independently source and execute transactions with minimal guidance.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Knowledge of M&A processes and venture capital investment strategies.

Pay
The starting salary range posted for this position is $128,500.00 to $179,800.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canadian locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.
