Circulating RN (Ambulatory Surgery Center)

About the role

Pride Health is hiring a Circulating RN for one of their clients located in Spring, TX. The role is a contract position lasting 2 months and works Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3 PM.

Responsibilities

• Follows the standards of care related to the nursing process.
• Counsels patients and families with courtesy, respect, and professionalism.
• Assists with exams and treatments, and maintains medical records under the supervision of the coordinator, supervisor, or manager.
• Addresses and resolves common contingency situations that arise in the specialty area.
• Documents accurately, legibly, timely, and concisely according to protocol.
• Treats patients and families with courtesy, respect, and professionalism.
• Stocks unit/completes routine checks on unit.
• Participates in preoperative call process.
• Communicates any delays to family members and other team members as necessary.
• Prioritizes care based on the patient's needs, abilities, and preferences.
• Advocates on behalf of patients and families to identify and resolve clinical and ethical concerns, utilizing appropriate resources.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Active RN License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (preferred)
• Experience in OR setting
• Circulating experience preferred
