About the role

NVIDIA is seeking a motivated Circuit Design Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team, focusing on improving the netlist and timing quality of designs. This role offers a challenging opportunity to collaborate on hard technical problems within a company that has continually reinvented itself over the past two decades—from the groundbreaking invention of the GPU in 1999 to pioneering advancements in AI and deep learning that are shaping the future of computing.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and participate in cutting-edge Processor design in deep submicron technologies
  • Work as part of a global circuits team to design innovative circuits (digital, semi-custom, and mixed-signal analog) for silicon correlation and hardware security
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve performance, reliability, and security of next-generation products through detailed transistor-level analysis
  • Drive design and physical implementation of digital and/or mixed-signal analog circuit IPs for current and voltage sensing, and common security attack detection and protection using custom and automated tools
  • Create prototypes of patentable ideas on test chips and drive deployment across the entire product line
  • Serve as a mentor/technical lead for junior team members

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Good understanding of deep submicron process issues and digital circuit design techniques
  • Familiarity/experience with analog and mixed-signal block design such as op-amp, comparator, ADC, etc.
  • Hands-on experience running Spice simulations, EM/IR analysis, and static timing analysis/closure
  • Experience with spice simulation for noise analysis, loop stability analysis, ac/dc/transient analysis, monte-carlo, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in design and analysis of digital and mixed-signal analog current and voltage sensors
  • Exposure to security attacks and common detection circuits
  • Experience with RTL, logic synthesis and verification, knowledge of Place and Route, and understanding of Design-for-test (DFT)
  • Strong experience in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, Make and automation methods/algorithms
  • Prior leadership experience

Pay

Base salary range: 116,000 USD - 189,750 USD for Level 2, and 136,000 USD - 218,500 USD for Level 3, plus equity and benefits.
