Church Auditor

About the role

Dennison CPA, PC is seeking qualified candidates who want to use their talents in attest & accounting to serve the Kingdom. Our firm provides audit, review & compilation services exclusively to churches and ministries throughout the United States (except for Hawaii & New York).

Responsibilities

• Accounting and attestation work including audit, review, and compilations
• Work directly with Principal and Managers to determine and meet all client's attestation & accounting needs
• Regularly communicate with ministry clients through video & telephone calls, and email

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years working in public accounting
• Non-profit accounting experience
• Knowledge of basic auditing, accounting, and tax concepts
• Proficiency and aptitude for Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
• 3-6 years of experience of accounting and/or auditing (preferred)
• CPA certification (preferred but not required)

Skills

• Tech savvy – familiar with Excel, Adobe, QuickBooks, digital workload management – and comfortable learning new software programs
• Comfortable with balancing multiple projects at a time, and eager to learn new tasks and take on new projects
• Able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction as needed
• Communication skills to effectively work with clients and colleagues
• Positive attitude and open to feedback necessary for continued growth and development to higher levels in the firm
• Strong organizational skills, be goal orientated and self-motivated
• Intermediate level of knowledge about accounting, FASB, and bookkeeping

• Monday – Friday
• Full-time or Part-time
