Christian After School Leader
About the role
We are seeking ministry-minded individuals to join our After School team. The Christian After School Leader’s primary role is fostering youth development in an after-school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. As a Christian ministry, we aim to serve kids and students in our community by offering awesome after-school care and activities. Our mission is to mobilize godly people into the lives of kids and families, providing tangible help and eternal hope. This is a non-exempt, part-time position averaging 17-20 hours per week during the school calendar year.
We consider a Christian After School Leader to be first and foremost a Minister of the Gospel. You will have the opportunity to make an eternal impact and serve as a role model to kids in your community.
Responsibilities
- Lead elementary students in enrichment activities in an after-school setting.
- Foster youth development with a focus on excellence and wholeheartedness.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor to children in the program.
Requirements
- Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
- Must be at least 17 years of age; High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred, and some post-secondary training highly preferred.
- Pass a mandatory background and sex offender check.
- Valid driver’s license or valid ID.
- Legally allowed to work in the United States.
- Have dependable transportation.
- Able to work Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
- Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory).
Qualifications
- Passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred.
- Desire to influence, impact, and serve kids and families in the community.
- Spanish-speaking ability is greatly valued.
