Chorus Accompanist - Part-Time

General Purpose

Responsible for accompanying the chorus for rehearsals and concerts.

Required Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Must have good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Essential Functions

• Accompanies the director during rehearsals and concerts.
• Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
• Follow the Wheaton Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Proactively support the District's Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Required Certifications, Licenses, Etc.

• Must have and maintain: valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; and CPR/AED certified or obtain within ninety (90) days of employment.
• Be a “Mandated Reporter” for the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to: frequently remain in a stationary position and repetitively use hands/arms/fingers as when using a computer;
• occasionally move and position ones’ self to move items such as music supplies, etc. up to 10 lbs.

Environmental Demands

• Must be able to: handle all weather conditions while traveling between facilities, frequently work indoors.

Hours

Rehearsals take place Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (September through April with concerts in December and April).

PAY

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour DOQ
