Chop - Tree Trimmer - Foreman - GRAND RAPIDS

Chop Tree Service is seeking an experienced Tree Trimmer Foreman to lead crews in performing vegetation construction and right‑of‑way tree operations for utility and municipal partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise tree trimming and removal crews.
• Ensure compliance with ANSI standards, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
• Conduct job‑site hazard assessments and daily tailboard safety meetings.
• Operate and oversee the use of bucket trucks, chippers, chainsaws, and related equipment.
• Maintain productivity, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and the public.
• Train and mentor crew members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in utility line clearance and vegetation management.
• Prior foreman or crew‑leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safe tree climbing, rigging, and equipment operation.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain).
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and professional work standards.
