CHMC - Radiology Technologist Team Lead

About the role

Radiology Technologist Team Lead performs procedures including diagnostic tests and CT exams to produce images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. This position exercises professional judgment, provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. We are looking for a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging and CT exams. This role requires professional judgment, a commitment to patient safety, and the technical expertise necessary to produce clear images for clinical interpretation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic tests and CT scans in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assess and monitor patient conditions during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Exercise professional expertise to ensure successful exam completion and high-quality imaging results.
  • Work closely with licensed practitioners and the healthcare team to provide individualized care across the patient life-span.
  • Maintain accreditation compliance for their section to include but not limited to: ACR, IAC, DOH, OSHA.
  • Ensure image quality and adherence to imaging protocols.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback on all technologists in their section, including new hires and current technologists.
  • Assist Director/Manager in creating staff schedules and manage workflow coverage.
  • Participate in department meetings, audits, and inspections specific to their section.
  • Contribute to performance improvement projects and patient satisfaction initiatives.
  • Communicate changes in protocol, policy or scheduling with the technologists in their section.
  • Perform all Quality control and quality assurance tests required under their section and maintain all QC/QA tests, documents and records as required by the appropriate governing body.
  • Detect any errors in equipment by reviewing the QC and documenting any remedial action needed.
  • Operates all equipment in their section and has the ability to troubleshoot equipment and assists staff in troubleshooting equipment.
  • Verifies all major equipment maintenance is completed per manufacturers guidelines.

Requirements

  • Hold ARRT certification for their specific section.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Rad Tech experience preferred, but not required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible to oversee the Diagnostic Imaging department and to report directly to the Radiology Director/Manager.

Pay

Pay Range: $43.76-$57.60
