CHMC - RADIATION THERAPIST

Qualifications

• Must be able to pay close attention to detail, as well as be compassionate.
• Level of knowledge normally acquired by completion of a two-year course in Radiation Technology.
• Licensure by State of New York required.
• Must maintain current BLS certification.
• One (1) or more years experience as a Radiation Therapist.

Working Conditions

• Works in a clinical setting where there is exposure to computer terminals, electrical high voltages and high noise levels.
• Stands, walks, lifts and positions patients 50% of work day.
• Exposure to radiation, toxic metal fumes, communicable diseases, infectious materials and blood and body fluids.
• Requires vision and hearing correctable to normal ranges, had-eye coordination, manual and finger dexterity, as well as effective communication skills to deal with a diverse group of individuals.
• Must be able to pay close attention to detail, as well as be compassionate.

Education

• Required: Level of knowledge normally acquired by completion of a two-year course in Radiation Technology.

Licenses and Certifications

• Licensure by State of New York
• Must maintain current BLS certification

Training and Experience

• One or more years experience as a radiation therapist

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future.
