About the Role
Global Dimensions is a HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia. We are a growing organization supporting critical national security missions through expertise in language and culture, training and education, information technology, cybersecurity, and intelligence. We are currently seeking Chinese-Mandarin Operational Language Analysts (OLA II) to support critical intelligence missions at Fort Meade, Maryland. This role is ideal for experienced cryptologic linguists with advanced Mandarin language skills who are passionate about supporting national security through language exploitation and intelligence analysis.
Essential Job Functions
The Chinese-Mandarin Operational Language Analyst (OLA II) will:
- Perform advanced cryptologic language processing of Mandarin Chinese audio and graphic materials in support of intelligence operations.
- Scan, analyze, and exploit foreign language communications to identify Essential Elements of Information (EEIs) and other intelligence of operational value.
- Produce accurate gists, translations, transcriptions, and intelligence reports in accordance with Government standards.
- Draft and edit intelligence reports derived from foreign language source materials.
- Translate and transcribe complex technical, military, operational, and intelligence-related communications while preserving the meaning and context of the original material.
- Develop and maintain working aids, glossaries, databases, and reference materials to improve mission effectiveness.
- Conduct linguistic and contextual research to support accurate translation and intelligence production.
- Collaborate with intelligence analysts and mission partners to support operational planning and intelligence requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with security protocols, classification guidance, and quality assurance standards.
- Perform additional operational language and intelligence support tasks as assigned.
Required Skills
- Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
- Minimum Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Level 3 proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (Audio or Graphic).
- One of the following:
- Associate's degree and 4 years of full-time cryptologic language processing experience, or
- 6 years of full-time cryptologic language processing experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 4 years of experience performing cryptologic language processing, including:
- Scanning foreign language material
- Recovering Essential Elements of Information (EEIs)
- Gisting
- Translation
- Transcription
- Intelligence report drafting
- Developing working aids and databases
- At least 2 years of primary duty experience performing translation, transcription, and/or gisting.
- No more than 1 year of the required experience may have been spent performing intelligence reporting as the primary duty.
- At least 2 of the required 4 years of qualifying experience must have been obtained within the 4 years immediately preceding resume submission.
Desired Skills
- Experience supporting the National Security Agency (NSA), Department of Defense (DoD), or Intelligence Community (IC).
- Experience producing serialized intelligence reports and supporting operational intelligence missions.
- Strong understanding of cryptologic language processing methodologies and intelligence reporting standards.
- Experience working in fast-paced, mission-driven classified environments.
- Excellent analytical, research, written, and verbal communication skills.
