Children & Youth Ministries Leader

About the role

The United Methodist Church of Chagrin Falls seeks a dedicated leader to oversee Children & Youth Ministries. This part-time position involves creating engaging faith formation opportunities, recruiting and supporting volunteers, and fostering a sense of belonging, discipleship, and service.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead faith formation programs for children and youth
• Recruit and train volunteers to support ministry activities
• Build and maintain relationships with church members and community partners
• Plan and execute special events such as Vacation Bible School, retreats, mission trips, and seasonal programming

Requirements

• A deep love for Christ and a passion for young people
• Experience in faith-based leadership or youth ministry
• Ability to inspire and motivate volunteers and participants
• Regular Sunday morning availability
• Additional hours for special events as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, theology, youth ministry)
• Experience working with children and youth
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Effective public speaking and teaching abilities
