Children's Sports and Fitness Coach

About the role

Athletic and enthusiastic individuals are needed to coach the fundamentals of 10 different sports to children aged 2.5 - 6 years old. The position is part-time and based in Overland Park, KS with classes in Kansas City, Leawood, Prairie Village, Overland Park and Olathe. The ideal candidate will commit to at least one year and look forward to developing within the company.

Responsibilities

• Coach 10 different sports to children aged 2.5 - 6 years old
• Deliver classes at schools or local parks in the mornings (9:00am - 12:00pm) and in the afternoons (3:00pm - 6:00pm)
• Maintain energy and enthusiasm throughout every class
• Teach classes in an organized, structured, and fun manner
• Build and maintain strong relationships with directors, teachers, parents, and children
• Ensure attendance and punctuality are paramount
• Communicate effectively with all parties involved

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Available to start the end of March or beginning of April
• Reliable transportation for moving between different locations
• Clean, valid drivers license
• Pass both state and FBI background checks (includes DUI/DWI)
• Offer a 12-month commitment with the growing company
• Excellent communication skills
• Enthusiasm for working with children
• Understand responsibilities while in charge of children
• Passion for sports and fitness
• Background in fitness preferred (athletics, sports, dance, martial arts, gymnastics etc)
• Experience working with children aged 2.5 - 6 years old preferred (teacher, substitute teacher, camp counselor)
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred
